Members’ Lounge - Terminal City Club

The Members’ Lounge in The Terminal City Club is an intimate, and casual space for members to meet and socialize, day or night. Originally an unused billiard room, the new space needed to be flexible to transition seamlessly from a meeting space to a wine bar. Our approach was to create a variety of settings within the space to maximize flexibility. We added a centrally located bar with pool cues at the back bar to pay homage to the room’s previous life and secure liquor when not in use. To create intimacy and eclectic elegance in this large open space, we layered light, pattern and texture as well as included rich materiality and clever details in the furniture pieces. As well, custom-designed, temperature-controlled wine lockers house private collections. The Member’s Lounge is a luxurious, casual space that supports members from day to night.
